Hot tea for the SOUL - 5 Tea recipes to enjoy daily!

I don't know about you, but I LOVE Tea! I grew up on coffee and tea came into my life later on. There are always times when a cup of tea just made the day better :)  The flavors, the scent, the cozy feeling and comfort that you get after drinking a hot or iced cup. Delicious!

Tea is best made when the water temperature is set just right for the type of tea you're making. Using an electric hot water kettle such as this one  will save you the guesswork.  I use mine every single day!

Here are 6 tea recipes that are both healthy and can have benefits for the body. These are recipes for loose leaf and herbs teas ( but if you're like me, a tea bag is what you would normally use with some hot water! )

Delicious Green Tea Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 green tea bag or 1 tsp loose-leaf green tea

  • 1 cup (8 oz) hot water (not boiling, around 170°F to 180°F / 75°C to 80°C)

  • 1-2 teaspoons honey (optional, for sweetness)

  • 1-2 slices of lemon (optional, for flavor)

  • Fresh mint leaves (optional, for extra freshness)

Instructions:

  1. Boil water: Heat water until it’s just below boiling. Green tea is delicate and should not be brewed in boiling water, as it can make it taste bitter.

  2. Steep the tea: Place the green tea bag or loose-leaf tea in a mug. Pour the hot water over the tea and let it steep for 2-3 minutes. If you steep it for too long, the tea may become bitter.

  3. Add flavor: After steeping, remove the tea bag or strain the leaves. Add honey for sweetness, and a slice of lemon for a zesty kick. Fresh mint leaves can be added for a refreshing twist.

  4. Stir and enjoy: Give it a stir, and your perfect cup of green tea is ready to enjoy!

These teas are great for daily consumption! My favorite is Green tea. I drink it every single morning with breakfast! Sometimes I add ginger to it or honey. YUM!
